Gwynnath was the Protector of Armengar prior to Guy du Bas-Tyra and mother of Briana.
She was also Guy's second love following Catherine conDoin, who was married off to Duke Borric, causing their famed animosity. Prior to her romance with Guy, she sired Briana with Gurtman Alwynne.
Gwynnath was killed during a raid, causing Guy to blame himself for her death.
